I’ve signed up for the annual 2013 NAMIWalk Valley Walk, on October 19, 2013, in Phoenix! Jenny and I will be participating in this 2.9k walk, as team Terminally Intelligent. Here’s more about NAMI:
NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI advocates for access to services, treatment, supports and research and is steadfast in its commitment to raise awareness and build a community for hope for all of those in need.
Every year, people all over the country participate in various NAMIWalks which help raise money and awareness of NAMI’s cause. Since mental health is obviously important to us, we’ve decided to begin participating, trying to raise as much money as we can.
We have a modest goal this year, as it is our first year. We are trying to raise $1000. If we reach this goal, then we will keep increasing it. The point is to raise enough money to make a difference. That means $1. Please consider supporting this cause. It doesn’t matter if your contribution is small, it will still make a difference.
You can donate on our page. You can also click that link to see how far we are towards getting our goal. We only have a month to raise as much money as we can!
